Description The William Randell range of wines was created in honour of Thorn-Clarke family ancestor Captain William Richard Randell (1824 - 1911) who at the age of 28, and without any prior experience, designed and commissioned a vessel that would become the first paddle steamer on the Murray River. This special Eden Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is grown at Thorn-Clarke's own estate vineyards – St Kitts and Milton Park. Brimming with notes of fresh blackcurrant intertwined with complexing savoury spice. The palate has an integrated French oak influence with notes of toasty cedar accompanied by further notes of briary fruits. Thorn-Clarke wait a few years longer than most wineries to release new vintages under the William Randell label. Time in barrel and bottle allows the wine to come together completely, leading to a Cabernet of great depth and drive.
