Description
Thorn-Clarke's vineyards border between the Barossa and Eden Valleys. The fruit for the Shotfire was selected from their St Kitts vineyard, at the northern end of the Barossa Ranges, their other Barossa vineyard Kabininge, and their Milton Park vineyard in the Eden Valley. The result is a superb vintae of Shotfire Shiraz withgreat depth of colour, with rich blackcurrant and mulberries accompanied by notes of smokey oak and hints of cloves.
"Destemmed, pressed approximately 7 days later, 14 months in American oak (40% new). Rich, layered, mocha/chocolate overtones to the black berry fruits are obvious... 92pts" (Halliday).
