Description Excellent value 94pt single vineyard rarity from the Clare Valley. This captivating Clare Barbera is food friendly and deliciously different. Cherry, fresh plum and oregano aromas. The palate is medium bodied with a plummy fruit sweetness and soft tannins. Typical Barbera acidity gives the wine a scrumptious quality. Named in honour of Inigo of Loyola who was a co-founder of the Jesuit Order whose members built Sevenhill. Today, winemaker Will Shields maintains and elevates the reputation of this pioneering winery. This Barbera has similar texture to a fine Grenache or Pinot Noir as Halliday points out in the Halliday Wine Companion, awarding it 94pts, and great value.
