Description
The ‘Penley Estate’ name was created in 1945 when the members of two winemaking families (Penfolds & Tolley) married. Their children, Kym, Ang and Bec Tolley turned the name into a reality in 1988, establishing a vineyard and winery that continues to produce “a succession of rich, complex wines” (Halliday).
"Penley Estate has lifted its game of late and this is a prime example. Happy days. It's chunky with flavour, in a good way. High toast, caramel, roasted plums and a punchy, briary sweetness to the finish. It feels as though it's bursting to impress, and at the price that's rarely a bad thing...92pts" (Halliday)
