Grapes were sourced from the foothills of the Cévennes, an hour inland from Montpellier. This is a ripe, supple claret style that makes appealing drinking. With fragrant berry aromas, fleshy succulent fruit and the smoothest of textures, the wine is ideal with artisan saucisson sec (cured sausage) and cheese, a rich pork and bean casserole, or steak with mushroom sauce.
