Description
The earthy-scented Jack Mann Cabernet Blend predominantly derives from Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 1971. The vines are descendants of the mysterious Frenchman’s Block, a long-forgotten patch of Swan Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Expect juicy blackcurrant, mulberry and and herbs, with moreish richness and rounded tannins.
"Hand-picked and sorted, destemmed whole berry wild ferments, 10 days on skins, 16 months in Bordeaux-coopered barriques (50% new). This is a full-bodied cabernet, but is so well structured you barely notice. It will only take the first 5 years of a 25+-year life for it to seem medium-bodied... 98pts" (Halliday).
