Description The Watervale sub-region of South Australia's Clare Valley has become synonymous with aromatic citrus and floral scented Riesling as fresh-tasting as the name Watervale sounds. The estate-grown vines which provide the fruit for the Crabtree Watervale Riesling range from 20 to 44 years old. The bouquet suggests fresh lemon and lime, touches of orange blossom and wild flowers. On the palate, the wine is perfectly balanced with a pleasant citrus backing. Will match well with a white fish ceviche. “Tingly & bright…Very smart... 92pts” (Erin Larkin, Halliday Wine Companion). A must for Riesling lovers – and for those wondering why there are growing numbers of them.
