Description The story of Chalk Hill starts in 1839 when John Harvey arrived in Adelaide, which was then a three-year-old colony of just 6,000 people. Today, Chalk Hill has five vineyards across McLaren Vale, including the Chalk Hill vineyard that was planted in 1969. They pick the Europa Shiraz from multiple blocks, each harvested separately for an extra layer of selectivity. Fermented and matured in seasoned French oak and stainless steel tanks before blending. Juicy red and blue fruits are lifted further by black pepper and vanillin notes. Medium to full bodied. Infinitely approachable.
