Description Winner of both a Double Gold and a Decanter Best in Show Trophy, this Cabernet, bleded with a little of Chile's speciality grape Carmènere, i9s a real triumph. Chile’s Colchagua Valley has received more international awards than any other Chilean wine region. Its three prime areas – the mountainous Andean sector, hot central flatlands and cool coastal region – combined form a wine with perfect balance. That’s why Casa Silva planted vines, originally imported from Bordeaux, in each of these back in 1912. These old vines produce grapes of lovely concentration – packed to the rafters with flavour. Like many great wineries, the Silva family incorporate respect for nature into their winemaking. Spending time and pouring care into the vineyard delivers authentic quality in the cellar. You can certainly taste that in this juicy, fruit-filled red. The winemaker Juan recommends it with steak pie or kebabs.
