Description It has been 20 years since Parker-rated winemaker Hervé Sabardeil started making the original Cabalié. In 2012, he crafted a special Vieilles Vignes version, French for ‘old vines’. It proved so popular, and demand was so great, that he's made it again and again. Made from Grenache with a large portion of spicy black fruit Carignan, this is a powerful red, weightier than the original. On the palate it expresses ripe plum, blackberry and sweet spices. A superb partner to garlic roasted lamb, rich stews or hard cheeses.
