Description Bleasdale Vineyards has almost 175 years of continuous winemaking by the Potts family who still own it. In recent years it has won Best Winery, Best Winemaker and Cabernet Sauvignon of the Years Trophies from the Halliday Wine Companion, plus the Jimmy Watson Trophy among many others. This blend of Shiraz, Cabernet and Malbec brims with dark and juicy fruit and spice, plusvelvety tannins making it a treat to bring to the dining table for hearty dishes of lamb, beef or even pork, and great to continue sipping once the plates are empty.
The Langhorne Creek wine region is one of five wine regions forming the Fleurieu zone which is located to the south of Adelaide city centre in South Australia. The Langhorne Creek wine region extends southeast of the town. The region has just 24 wineries and as of 2014, the most common plantings in the Langhorne Creek wine region were Shiraz, Cabernet, Chardonnay and Merlot. Alternatively, red wine varietals account for 82.1% of plantings while white wines varietals account for 17% of plantings.
