Description This Frank Potts 2018 blend was made up of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, and 5% Malbec, and is named after after Bleasdale’s intrepid founder. Six generations later and Potts family still own and run Bleasdale and it's riding very high indeed. In recent years it has won Best Winery, Best Winemaker and Best Cabernet of the Year Trophies from the Halliday Wine Companion, the Jimmey Watson Trophy plus numerous Trophies from wine shows. The 2018 is in a beautiful drinking window now with characteristic soft Langhorne Creek fruit flavours flecked with savoury details: a finely honed fusion of blackcurrants and blackberries, leather, pencil shavings, earthiness and spicy vanillin cedar. Structured tannins, balanced acidity. Elegance that would give a Bordeaux a run for its money. Jane Faulkner in The Halliday Wine Companion compliments its aromas of "violets, blackberries and exotic spice". Fabulous stuff!
