Description The talent behind this very contemporary white Rioja is Javier Murúa, a real mover and shaker in the region. His father, Julián, owns Bodegas Muriel in the Rioja Alavesa, a winery Julián’s parents established in 1926, and which is the regular recipient of awards. The red Barón de Barbón is always a top seller on our list, adored for its generous, ripe, silky fruit and value for money, and this stunning white is in the same class – no doubt why our customers order it more often than any other blanco. It’s made using the indigenous Viura grape, and fermented at a cool temperature in stainless steel to capture every single flicker of freshness. You’ll find it delicious served chilled with tapas, barbecued chicken or spicy prawns with noodles.
