He soon became renowned for his spirited brandy and refreshing whites as well. 130 years and five generations later, the estate is still going strong. It has 5 Red Stars from Halliday, has been named a ‘Winery of the Year’, and its wines are still proving excellent tonics for wine drinkers today.
5 Red Star Angove have access to some of the finest fruit in South Australia. The fruit for this luscious Shiraz comes from a vineyard near Whirlpool Corner on the lovely Murray River. It's deep, dark and delicious, and great with a steak.
This 2022 turns its back on the weighty, golden, heavily oaked Chardonnays of last century and embraces bright stone fruit, shot through by lemony brilliance. No wonder this grape is back in favour.
The Angove Bin 4288 Cabernet Sauvignon is exclusively and carefully crafted from grapes grown in the Coonawarra for our customers. The fruit from the 2020 vintage was fantastic – small berries, great fruit concentration and lovely tannins.
