Description 'Garage wines' is a term used to describe wines that are produced in the back sheds of French winemakers, who make small batch wines of the highest quality. d'Arenberg's galvanized, corrugated 'garage' was built in 1927 and still houses the traditional equipment used in the handcrafting of this wine. Savoury, spicy and elegant, a lovely blend of fresh fruits and leafy earthiness. The nose shows lots of fruitiness with cranberry compote, caramelized oranges, citrus and a hint of blackcurrants. Medium to full body, some nice juicy fruit, succulent tannins and a flavorful finish. Drink in 2020, with a ploughman's platter.
