Description Despite having more extensive vineyards than all of Australia and a climate many growers would be most envious of, Sicily’s quality wines are largely under the radar. Innovative and talented winemaker Scipione Giuliani is doing his best to change that with appealing wines like this. It’s a juicy, modern white made from full flavoured Grecanico and Catarratto from the island’s west coast to give a fresh, rounded wine with plenty of zesty bite. A dash of melony Chardonnay, cool fermented and matured on its lees for nutty character, gives extra complexity and weight. A lively and tasty appetiser, this midweight white is best served with lighter dishes. Enjoy a glass with grilled white fish, tomato and mozzarella salad or creamy pasta.
