Innovative and talented winemaker Federica Lauterio is doing her best to change that with appealing wines like this. It’s a juicy, modern white made from full flavoured Grecanico, Grillo and Catarratto from the island’s west coast to give a fresh, rounded wine with plenty of zesty bite. A dash of melony Chardonnay, cool fermented and matured on its lees for a nutty character, gives extra roundness and weight. A lively and tasty appetiser, this midweight white is best served with lighter dishes. Enjoy a glass on its own or with grilled white fish, tomato and mozzarella salad or creamy pasta.
