Description
It is believed by some that the 2019 vintage in the Barossa rubs shoulders with the best vintages we have seen this century. While yields were low, the fruit concentration went up and up, with flavourful and fragrant wines like this Sandpiper Riesling. With all the hallmarks of excellent Riesling - lemon, lime, minerality and a hint of the floral - you can see why Halliday gave it an incredible 95pts.
"An exercise in purity and elegance, the perfumed bouquet trailing through florals, powder puff and a touch of spice, the delicately engineered palate keeping all the components in their place. Terrific balance and length to an all-out bargain... 95pts" (Halliday).
