Description Although known as 'Pinotage King', multi award winning Cape winemaker Gerhard Swart is also extremely adept with the Chenin Blanc grape and achieves extraordinary vibrancy and crisp apple intensity in this wine. Gerhard has blazed a trail in his career, winning the coveted General Smuts Trophy in 2010, the youngest ever to do so, while Bruce Jack, who made this wine before him, called Gerhard "the best winemaker he had ever met." The wine is named after the free spirit, a Scot, Angus McLean, who deserted the British army in South Africa at the time of the Boer War and lived off the bounty of the sea, plus the odd stolen sheep, earning his nickname ‘the Rustler’. Chill down this fruity white and enjoy solo or with chicken or spicy stir-fry.
