Description Plantagenet are one of the best value wineries in Western Australia, if not Australia. They're situated in the state's Great Southern wine region, where Shiraz and Riesling reign supreme. Unlike the Margaret River, where high exposure and demand have seen a steady increase in prices over the years, Great Southern has somewhat gone under the radar and, as a result, their wines offer fantastic value. Like this Samson Cabernet Merlot, named after the family's ancestor Lionel Samson. It's chocolatey and rich, with cassis and dark berries, bay leaf and tobacco.
