And plenty of valour: Making wine is not for the faint-hearted! Pete actually dreamt of being a musician, but (fortunately for fans of his legendary wines) he says he is a much better winemaker than musicmaker. Did you know Pinot Gris’ skin colour is actually pink? (Hold your glass against a white background and you will see). Also, Pinot Gris can really vary in style. Peter’s is inspired by the great whites of Alsace in France, where the Gris is full-bodied and spicy, with excellent acidity and honeyed fruit.
