Description
The Kaesler family settled in the Barossa Valley in 1845 and sold the estate back in 1968, however the estate’s name was retained. The estate vineyards date back to 1893, and today clever winemaker Reid Bosward ensures its reputation for quality is well intact.
“Sourced from a vineyard planted in ’65 and matured in 30% new French. Nice to see wines like this, a focus on fragrance and softness rather than heft. Respect for mature vines. Bright red and blue fruit, lively acidity giving great length and refreshment, and circumspect oak adding just enough, and no more... 94pts” (Halliday).
