Description Taking its place on the Outstanding list of the Langton's Classification of Australian Wine, the 2015 vintage of the Fox Creek Reserve Shiraz has taken home a slew of Gold medals. A portion of fruit is sourced from gnarly old vines in a premium vineyard, planted in 1910. The wine is superbly concentrated with plum, cherry, mulberry and chocolate. Balanced and elegant is how we would describe it. "A phalanx of dark fruits and cherry bonbon notes, all soaked in creamy vanilla chocolate, serve as the attack. The impression is one of power, yet there is nothing particularly heavy about the wine despite its weight and richness. Sinuous grape tannins and a prism of sexy French oak frame the barrage of fruit flavours, assuaging sweetness and any sense of heat... 95pts" (Halliday).
