Description Raised in Bordeaux, Hervé Fabre departed France in the early 1990s in search of new and more challenging wine territory in which to invest. He was heading for Chile but became side-tracked by old Malbec vineyards in Argentina and never left. Hervé now runs one of the leading estates in Mendoza, and another in Patagonia, and has won hoards of international Golds and Trophies. Every year his wines also score very highly with top critics like Parker, Suckling and Atkin. This superb red, made from the grape most favoured by Cheval Blanc, uses all hand picked Cabernet Franc from Luján de Cuyo. Aged for a year in French oak, it’s an elegant, complex red that will make fine drinking over the next few years. Decant to allow the flavours to unfurl.
