Description Drumsara is a boutique family vineyard, situated high on a glacial outwash in Central Otago’s Alexandra sub-region, owned by John and Audrey Matheson. John spends most of his time in the vineyard alongside viticulturist Garry, and winemakers Anthony Worch and Marion Vialade then turn the amazing quality grapes into super-premium wine. You’ll find dark cherry, plum, blueberry and strawberry fruits, with hints of wild herbs and exotic spices. The palate is rich in deep fruits, vanilla spice and a touch of dark chocolate. Fine grained tannins and lively acidity give the wine length, texture and great ageing potential. Enjoy it with Chinese BBQ duck for a real flavour sensation.
