Description From the small village of Gaujac, next to a Roman spa dating back to the 5th century BC, this is a delightful, ripe, supple red. It speaks clearly of the southern Rhône – ripe fruit, wild herbs and floral notes with savoury tobacco spice. It's from Les Vignerons de Gaujac, a very small co-op, founded in 1928 and now with only seven members. Jean Paul Coste is the grandson of the founder, determined to keep it independent - for his grandfather and for the growers, so committed to their vines. He has many Gold medals to his name and the 2020 is looking promising to collect another! Look forward to lovely ripeness and depth in this appealing Rhône red, made mostly from Grenache and Syrah. Great at a barbecue or with vegetable cobbler.
