Description This vibrant and silky French treasure comes from an estate owned by the Roux family for five generations in Bordeaux's Entre Deux Mers. The name Les Rochers, ‘the rocks’, comes from the limestone-rich soil, which keeps the vines very well drained. Look forward to some deliciously smooth, velvety Merlot fruit in this glorious ripe vintage Bordeaux. 2018 was particularly warm, so there’s lovely fruity depth and structure. The nose has vibrant ripe black cherry, cassis and subtle floral hints. On the palate, savour velvety ripe fruit with rounded tannins. It's a well balanced Bordeaux drinking well now, but there’s no hurry either. It would make a stunning match to a Steak Diane or fillet steak with Bearnaise sauce.
