Description Chalk Hill is owned by the Harvey family, who have been growing grapes in McLaren Vale for six generations. Their Slate Hill vineyard in Willunga was planted in 1897 – nearly 123 years ago – and the ancient vines still bear fruit today. The family are dedicated to making small batch, hand-crafted wines of distinction that showcase the McLaren Vale region. Their Vermentino has an impressive pedigree – in 2015 it took out the International Judge’s Wine of Show Trophy – a gigantic feat! The 2019 shows all the same radiance and style.
