They were out to prove the region is top notch for elegant Chardy too. The Coonawarra is similar to the cool climate of the Yarra Valley and on a similar latitude, however the Coonawarra benefits from a limestone bed like Burgundy. This herbaceous and bright Chardonnay is lightly scented with a fine citrus core, leading to a lengthy finish that makes it tops with food.
