Description In the early 1990s, German doctor and keen wine collector Willi Schumacher, and his wife Gudrun started searching for the perfect place to establish a winery. Willi, who also has a strong interest in geology, was looking for the right kind of environment to give the wines the unique expression of terroir that he envisaged. Their search led them to Pemberton in WA’s Southern Forests, about an hour and a half south of WA’s famous Margaret River region. Nearly 30 years later, with 5 Red Stars from Halliday and a listing in his Top 100 Wineries, Bellarmine has gained a firm following from connoisseurs of fine WA wine. Their Pinot Noir is beautiful - a silky, layered and lovely drop with vibrant raspberry notes, delicious florals, a lovely touch of spice, fine tannins and a long, lingering finish. Drink now or cellar until 2025 . Not to be missed!
