Description
From the Hyde Park Vineyard in the Grampians, here you can expect a deeply coloured Shiraz showing lovely perfume of dark fruits and chocolate with fine spicy oak which leads to a medium bodied ripe palate full of mulberry and blackberry fruit with fine tannins.
"Destemmed but not crushed, 48 hr cold soak, cool ferment. Matured in new (33%) and older French hogsheads. A fine example of Grampians shiraz from a cooler vintage, redolent of dark and sour cherries, Asian spice, licorice and white pepper. Supple and silky, it glides along the palate with ripples of juicy flavour and taut astringency. Some classy oak here too... 95pts" (Halliday).
