Description A classic varietal found in Bordeaux blends, when allowed to sing its own tune, as it does here, you can expect great things. Violets, red fruit and blackcurrants reach out and indulge the senses, while being reigned in by strong tannins providing structure, boundaries and oompf. Petit Verdot has found a good home in the Clare Valley, with the fruit sourced for this particular expression coming from a vineyard north-east of the township of Clare. "Jubey raspberry, stewed rhubarb, floral characters and spice. It's nothing if not heady. It's clean and competent without emphasising anything more than that" (Halliday).
